Senior Manager, Assurance at BDO USA, LLP (San Diego, CA) Full Time. Develop suggestions to improve client internal controls & accounting procedures. Travel to various unanticipated client sites & BDO office locations nationally.
Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration or related plus 2 years experience in job offered, Assurance Senior Associate, Assurance Manager, or related. Alternative, employee will accept Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years progressively responsible experience. Must have experience with: Public Accounting; Resolve complex account issues; Applying GAAS, GAAP, SEC & PCAOB reporting rules; Reviewing engagement profitability, including billings & collections; Using various assurance application & research tools; & using Windows, Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Must have CPA certificate or sufficient education/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to receive CPA certification within 18 months of hire/promo. 2 direct reports.
