BAYOU GULF SHRIMP, LLC needs 65 Temporary Full-Time Seafood Processing Plant    Workers to worker at 6896 Grand Caillou Road, LA 70350 in Terrebonne Parish County. Starting 11/13/2019 through 08/21/2019. Salary $18.76 per hour. 40hrs/wk., Monday to    Friday 7 hours (6:00AM-2:00PM or 2:00PM-10:00PM or 10:00PM to 6:00AM) – Rotating Shift Work and Saturday 5 hours; no     overtime available. Duties: Workers will clean and sanitize plant in preparation for oysters and shrimps’ arrival for           processing; place oysters on shaking tables and shrimps on tables; separate both oysters and shrimps for quality, clean oyster shells and shrimps             removing dirt and growth; pack, weigh, label and place in ice boxes for pick-up. Paid weekly. Employer will use a single work week as its standard for                       computing wages due. All              deductions from the workers’ pay check required by law will be made. The wage that the           employer is offering, intends to offer or will provide to the H-2B workers, non-commuting United States Domestic Workers,                Citizens and holders of visas that allow work in the US, or in the event that there are multiple wage offers (such as where an itinerary is authorized through special procedures for an                    employer), the range of                applicable wage offers, each of which must equal or exceed the highest of the prevailing wage of the Federal, State, or local         minimum wage. The prevailing wage is the higher of the wage issued by OFLC National              Prevailing Wage Center on the collective bargaining agreement, occupational employment         statistics survey, or private               survey. 3 months exp, no             education required, must                  undergo pre-employment Drug Testing and Random Drug              Testing, at employer´s expense. Daily transportation to and from plant will be provided to workers from centralized location (3282 Bayou Dularge Rd, Theriot LA 70397 to plant located at 6896 Grand Caillou Road, Dulac LA 70353 in Terrebonne Parish County, at no cost to workers. Public transportation is available to central location. The                  anticipated employment will last 120 days or more. The                 employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be             reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing,          border crossing, and other         related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).          Transportation for H-2B Visa workers and non-commuting United States Domestic         Workers (Citizens and holders of visas that allow work in the US), including meals and lodging to the extent necessary, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker            completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided, if the worker        completes the employment     period or is dismissed earlier by the employer. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to                subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately         reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most                economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $12.46 p/day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 p/day with receipts. Employer will not provide workers daily board (food). Employer will have               housing available at 21118 Hwy 1, Golden Meadow, LA 70357 with fully equipped kitchens for workers to prepare their daily meals, if worker chooses to rent at this location. Rent will be $150.00 per month with utilities included.
