District Director
Working under the direction of the Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District Administrative Control Board, located in Park City, Utah, the District Director is responsible for providing leadership of the management team and supervision of the District as a whole.
Responsibilities of the District Director include attending public meetings and frequent interaction with the public and government officials. Primary duties of the District Director include building and maintaining board relations, District administration, budgeting, and personnel management. The District is seeking an effective leader of both people and process. The Director should set a clear vision for the District while also leveraging the knowledge and experience of a competent group of experienced managers. The District Director must have the business acumen to work with community leaders, high net worth individuals and bond agencies to preserve and grow the financial capability of the District. Ideal candidates should possess a comprehensive knowledge of strategic planning, budget, and finance, with extensive business and entrepreneurial skills. The ideal candidate will have a history of bond and debt management, along with Master planning and managing capital projects, and must be able to provide strategic vision and leadership to execute and manage the major capital projects of the District. The new Director will have a track record for delivering results, building accountability for staff, promoting staff training, and creating a positive working environment characterized by teamwork and innovation with a focus on future planning. Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation Management or related field. At least ten (10) years of extensive and progressively responsible experience in providing leadership in a parks and recreation organization or related field, five (5) years of which are supervisory, and three (3) years in a top-level administrative position.
