Position Title: Enterprise Applications Architect I, II, or III

Position Purpose: Primary responsibilities include supporting compliance and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) functions of the business. The incumbent will provide input into the strategic direction of compliance and GIS technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on compliance and GIS technology investments. The incumbent will partner with business systems analysts, compliance administrators, GIS analysts, engineers, and maintenance personnel in gathering and reviewing business requirements; then analyze and implement those requirements into technical solutions. This position will also assist with scheduling and connecting the technical delivery of data integration with multiple systems. The GIS software and tools to be supported in this position may include the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise platform, python, geo-enabled products, various fleet-management and tracking tools, as well as mobile maintenance and inspection tools.

Enterprise Applications Architect I - This position is responsible for assisting with design, development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and support of a variety of enterprise applications enabling the Cooperative to meet business objectives. This position may participate in a team to serve as the primary point of contact between Information Services & Telecommunications (IS&T), the Cooperative business units, and external solution providers. The incumbent ensures compliance of technology solutions with IS&T standards. Solutions may be developed in-house, purchased from commercial providers, or a combination of both. The incumbent may be responsible for supporting a variety of computing platforms and technologies including multiple versions of Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments. Technology solutions to be supported may include both on-premise client/server and cloud-based applications. This position will also assist with scheduling and connecting the technical delivery of data integration with multiple systems. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.

Enterprise Applications Architect II - This position is responsible for planning, designing, developing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting of specific enterprise applications enabling the Cooperative to meet business objectives. This position will work in a team to serve as the primary point of contact between Information Services & Telecommunications (IS&T), the Cooperative business units, and external solution providers. The incumbent ensures compliance of technology solutions with IS&T standards. The incumbent may be responsible for supporting a variety of computing platforms and technologies including multiple versions of Windows Server, Linux, and UNIX environments. Technology solutions to be supported may include both on-premise client/server and cloud-based applications. This position will also assist with scheduling and connecting the technical delivery of data integration with multiple systems. This position will lead project teams and serve as the primary point of contact between Information Services & Telecommunications (IS&T), the Cooperative business units, and external solution providers. The incumbent ensures compliance of technology solutions with IS&T standards. The incumbent may be responsible for supporting a variety of computing platforms and technologies including multiple versions of Windows Server, Linux, and UNIX environments. Technology solutions to be supported may include both on-premise client/server and cloud-based applications. This position works under minimal direction and is responsible to recommend technical strategies. This position will also assist with scheduling and connecting the technical delivery of data integration with multiple systems. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.

Qualifications:

Enterprise Applications Architect I - To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of software development lifecycle, which is acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Technology, a Engineering Accredited Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited Software Engineering or Computer Engineering program, or a related field; or a two-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, EAC/ABET accredited Software Engineering or Computer Engineering program, or related field and two years of experience related to software development, administration, implementation or configuration; or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and four years of experience related to software development, administration, implementation or configuration. The incumbent must have knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), and relational database concepts. The ability to manage time, provide estimation of time required to accomplish work, and adapt by developing technical and professional skills are required. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. This position must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; travels up to 10% of the time; and is required to be on-call, as needed.

Enterprise Applications Architect II - To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of software development lifecycles; implementation of applications; knowledge of Java, C#, Visual Basic, .NET, or other procedural language; knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL); and knowledge of relational database concepts. This is acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, Engineering Accredited Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited Computer Engineering, or related field and four years of experience related to software development, administration, implementation or configuration; or a two-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, EAC/ ABET accredited Computer Engineering, or related field and six years of experience related to software development, administration, implementation or configuration; or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and eight years of experience related to software development, administration, implementation or configuration. Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: This position requires frequent sitting and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. Some travel is required.
