Part Time Records Clerk
The position of part-time Records Clerk to the Baldwin Borough Police Department reports directly to the Office Manager and is supervised by the Chief of Police. The Records Clerk will work on a daily basis with the Office Manager, the Chief of Police, as well as all sworn officers of the department. Key areas of responsibility are general office duties including telephone, preparing correspondence, mail, filing, data entry; assist with property room; provide assistance to the departmental staff and officers; assume responsibilities of Office Manager in her absence.
Qualifications that are desirable for the position are a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; knowledge of computers and Office Suite programs; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful situations; ability to maintain confidentiality of department information. Working knowledge of police accreditation is preferred.
Terms of employment: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm (times subject to change) at a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, without benefits, and a 90-day probationary period.
