Director of Facilities
The Director of Facilities reports to the COO/CFO and provides leadership and direction to all facilities management projects at Austen Riggs Center properties. The DOF is responsible for directing construction and renovation projects, the day to day management of housekeeping and maintenance budget and staff, and acts as the safety manager.
Successful candidates possess: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in related field and minimum of 10 years of facilities management experience; Project management in safety and construction--preferably in a healthcare setting; Mechanical knowledge and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and emergency power systems; Ability to read and interpret architectural prints, job specifications; Construction Supervisor's License is a plus; Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, and other federal, state and local regulations is required; Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards strongly preferred; Safety Management certification, (CHSP, CSP) or equivalent significant safety management experience required. Excellent management skills with demonstrated organizational, administrative, interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills with the demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people.
