Business Development Specialist
Business Development Specialist, F/T position w/AGS Devices Co. in Bonita Springs, FL. Duties: (1) conduct market research using the internet, reviewing company publications, conducting phone conversations, & meeting with company representatives of aerospace manufacturers and service companies in the U.S., Brazil, and Europe to identify personnel responsible for decisions and acquisitions; (2) analyze AGS Devices’ business processes including reviewing spending & marketing habits & determining factors that influence performance; (3) research competitors’ pricing & terms as well as market trends to determine purchasing patterns and/or preferences; (4) convert new leads into potential new accounts by preparing targeted proposals & negotiating pricing; (5) create sales plans that compare prices & terms of merchandise by region, suggest reduced pricing & more lenient payment terms or financing arrangements; (6) analyze current business processes by reviewing purchasing & sales records with management and sales teams, how projections are made as to stock levels, turnaround time for delivering merchandise to clients, & sourcing new stock items; (7) coordinate with the management team to formulate price increases after reviewing shipping rates, tariffs, & customs duties; (8) assist management in the development of sales plans, budgets, and annual forecast to increase AGS Devices’ participation in the aerospace industry in Brazil, U.S., & Europe; (9) meet with clients to address concerns and address complaints including providing solutions for technical and spare part support with the goal of expanding merchandise list to target current and potential client needs; and (10) meet with the company’s president and management on a weekly basis to provide updates as to new developments with major clients, regions, or suppliers as well as provide updates on the company’s market position & marketing campaign effectiveness.
Requirements: BA in Bus. Admin.; 36 months’ exp. in logistics & materials control; and knowledge of the flow of materials & inventory within the aerospace industry, inspection of materials, payment of materials needed for production, & shipping. International travel, primarily to Brazil, is required 1-2 times a year to meet with customers.
