Performs skilled financial tasks to maintain approximately 3,000 individual trust accounts; performs other duties related to service of Civil Process as set forth in Idaho Code. The work is performed in most instances under general supervision and the incumbent makes independent decisions in most cases. The position is located in the Ada County, Sheriff's Office, Court Services Bureau, Civil Division.
SHIFT INFORMATION
Generally Monday - Friday, day shift hours, with some flexibility required.

Essential Functions
- Reconciles all trust and bank accounts as assigned;
- Receives and applies funds daily to proper trust accounts;
- Daily reconciles funds and forwards to the Finance Department;
- Prepares and distributes monthly reports of the Civil Division’s financial activities; and
- Performs other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Two years previous bookkeeping, accounting or related experience preferred;
- Ability to use 10 key keypad;
- Ability to balance and maintain financial records;
- Ability to handle, count, and balance varying amounts of money;
- Ability to prepare fiscal reports;
- Ability to keep complex clerical records;
- Ability to learn and retain information concerning the law and adapt to changes in the law regarding interest and fees;
- Knowledge of modern office equipment, practices and procedures;
- Ability to understand and carry out complex verbal and written directions;
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Ability to use appropriate telephone etiquette;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with other employees;
- Ability to deal with the public, some of whom may be irate, in a tactful and courteous manner; and
- Ability to communicate with culturally diverse citizens.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must appear before an oral board and complete a polygraph and background investigation prior to hire;
- This position has been designated safety sensitive and therefore the incumbent is subject to random drug testing.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions;
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.; and
- Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
