Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full Charge Bookkeeper – Established 40 plus years Company seeking experienced Full Charge, Full-Time Bookkeeper to replace current bookkeeper who is retiring after working here for over 30 years.
Applicant must have a minimum of 3-years’ experience in a similar position.
Job Summary: The position is responsible for the productive and efficient operation of the company, accounting, and front office within the guidelines established by the President.
Relationships: The President is the Direct Supervisor Directly supervises the Receptionist and any Assistants Works with the Superintendent, Purchasing Agent and Estimators Works with the Company Customers, Suppliers, and CPA
Major Job Duties Summary: Payroll and tax deposits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconcile bank accounts, job costing and reports quarterly tax reports. Worker compensation reports, financial statements, update bank balance, tape keep track and maintain employee records. Set up a new project, files set up and maintain subcontractor files processes w-2’s and 1099 form notarize company documents – if has a notary. Perform other duties as assigned by the president.
Additional Duties: Set up new suppliers, open credit accounts, request certificates of insurance, send out preliminary lien notices, obtain city business licenses, type letters, answer phones, order office supplies, handle and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
Key Performance Criteria: Organization and timely billing/payment procedures, good morale and competence of department personnel harmonious and productive, relationships with company personnel, ability to perform an appropriate amount of work in a given amount of time.
