Abbeville Housing Authority Administrative Assistant
This staff support position performs a variety of administrative/clerical support including but not limited to those of a receptionist, secretarial/clerical assignments, and others including some accounts payable and payroll functions.
Knowledge and Skills
An Associate Degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. Applicant must have at least 3 years of administrative and/or financial experience. Some experience in accounts payable and payroll processing is desired. Experience in property management or HUD subsidized housing environment is preferred. Proficiency using MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and the Internet; ability to learn and use agency software is also an asset.
Applicant must have excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing. Candidate must effectively communicate and interact with people from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds. He/she must be resourceful and able to independently address and resolve issues as they arise.
Salary: $36,000 Annually (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
